In the 2025 Corruption Perceptions Index released by Transparency International, South Sudan and Somalia rank lowest with scores of just 9. Venezuela, with a score of 10, continues its troubling trend of diminished public-sector integrity. Yemen, Libya, and Eritrea, each at 13, face significant corruption issues, while Sudan and Nicaragua scored 14.
